Spurs fans on Twitter question loaning Jack Clarke back to Leeds

Tottenham Hotspur summer signing Jack Clarke was an unused substitute as Leeds United drew their latest Championship game.

A number of Spurs fans have started to question the club's decision to loan Jack Clarke back to Leeds for the season after the winger proved to be an unused substitute for the second game in a row as Marcelo Bielsa's side drew with Nottingham Forest.

It appeared to be a good piece of business for the Championship side to get Clarke back on loan after agreeing to sell the winger to Tottenham for around £10 million - fee reported by The Telegraph.

The 18-year-old looked bright during his first year in the senior side at Elland Road, but faded away as the campaign edged towards its conclusion. So it looked to be best for all parties that Leeds sealed a loan move, allowing the Whites to keep one of their most exciting prospects for another year, while Clarke can develop his game and Spurs get a more rounded player when he joins up with the club next summer.

However, some Tottenham supporters are concerned about whether Clarke is going to get the minutes at Leeds to justify sending him out on loan after he did not feature for the second game in a row at the weekend.

Clarke was left on the bench as Bielsa started Jack Harrison and Pablo Hernandez. And when Bielsa decided to introduce another attacking player, he turned to Helder Costa rather than the teenager.

Of course, the season has just begun and there is a lot of time for Clarke to force his way into the starting lineup and make a devastating impact as Leeds look to get promoted.

But there are some Spurs fans who believe that the club need to keep an eye on the situation as it is doing them no favours if Clarke is not going to play regularly this season.
