Celtic have made a wonderful start to their season.

Lewis Morgan spoke to reporters after Celtic’s emphatic 5-2 win away at Motherwell on Saturday, and shared what Neil Lennon told the players before the start of the season, as quoted by the Daily Record.

The Hoops have made a quite simply sensational start to their 2019/20 campaign, winning their two league games by an aggregate score of 12-2.

They are also in a good position to qualify for the Champions League group stages, having already got through two rounds of qualifying, and taking a 1-1 draw with FC Cluj into the second-leg clash at Parkhead this week.

Celtic are looking to win their ninth consecutive league title this season, in an effort to equal Rangers’ record from the 80’s and 90’s and their own history making side from the 60’s and 70’s.

And Morgan told reporters on Saturday how Lennon instilled into the Celtic players the importance of teamwork ahead of the new season, as quoted by the Daily Record:

“We’ve got a great team spirit that everyone feels involved in and it’s great to be getting the game-time at the minute. The manager has said that he trusts all of us to get the result. First and foremost, it’s always about teamwork and the manager instills that into all of the players.”

Next up for Celtic is their Champions League qualifying clash with FC Cluj tomorrow night, before they play host to Dunfermline in the league on Saturday.

And Lennon will be keen for his side to continue their dominant form.
