The Everton centre-back had potentially his best game for the club yesterday.

There weren’t a lot of positives for Everton on Saturday.
Marco Silva’s side kicked off their Premier League campaign with an underwhelming 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
In addition to that, Andre Gomes, perhaps their best player last season, picked up an injury on his second Everton debut and was substituted at half-time.
On the whole, it wasn’t a great day for the Toffees, but Yerry Mina’s performance represents one big positive.
The Colombia international, who cost £27 million last summer [Barcelona’s official website], was exceptional at centre-back. He looked fit, alert and mature. He looked like a different player to the one Silva and the fans saw last season.
It wasn’t a brilliant first year in England for the former Barca defender who, in addition to having injury problems, didn’t set the Premier League alight when he was fit.
But Saturday’s display offered up plenty of reasons to be cheerful and maybe, just maybe, he has finally arrived.
If his performance at Selhurst Park ends up setting the tone for his season, it’s going to be a brilliant one.
