Leeds United were denied by Nottingham Forest at Elland Road.
Ben White has admitted that he’s disappointed to only win a point on his home Leeds United debut.
The centre-back couldn’t help United to all three points as Nottingham Forest earned a 1-1 draw at Elland Road this afternoon.
Pablo Hernandez fired Leeds ahead on the hour mark, but a sloppy corner led to Marcelo Bielsa’s side being pegged back on 78 minutes.
White, who joined the club on a season-long loan from Brighton, impressed yet again but the young defender admits that he and his team-mates hold themselves to higher standards than they showed today.
He told LUTV: “Bit disappointed to be fair. We wanted the clean sheet at home but unfortunately we couldn’t do that. They didn’t have too many chances. We hold ourselves to a high standard.
A point wasn’t the worst result in the world for Leeds.
They would’ve preferred two more to go with the three that they won at Bristol City last week, but four points from their first two Championship games isn’t disastrous, especially considering that so many key players have left.
It’ll take a while before the newer lads get familiar with Bielsa’s style, but the early signs are promising. White is certainly an exciting talent and no doubt he will continue to get even better as time goes on.
