Tottenham Hotspur have won against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Aston Villa.

Tottenham kicked off they 2019-20 Premier League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening.

John McGinn gave the Villans the lead as early as the ninth minute, and it took Spurs until the 73rd minute to restore parity through Tanguy Ndombele.

Star striker Harry Kane scored his first in the 86th minute and added a second on 89 minutes, as Spurs won 3-1.

Former Tottenham striker Lineker was following the match, and he has given his verdict on Mauricio Pochettino’s side and on Dean Smith’s Villa.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening, hosts Tottenham had 70% of the possession, took 31 shots of which seven were on target, and earned 14 corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Villa had 30% of the possession, took seven shots of which four were on target, and failed to earn a single corner, according to BBC Sport.
