Real Betis have urged Tottenham Hotspur to ‘take care’ of Giovani Lo Celso, on an official tweet.
Spurs announced the signing of Lo Celso from Betis yesterday, as the managed to get a deal finalise just before the deadline.
There is great excitement around Tottenham about what Lo Celso could do at White Hart Lane.
But at Betis there is disappointment that they have lost such a key player.
And the Spanish club sent a classy message to Tottenham about the midfielder, following the completion of his transfer.
What a baller! ⚽— Real Betis Balompié (@RealBetis_en) August 9, 2019
Take good care of him, @SpursOfficial We're sure you're going to enjoy with him!
All the best, Gio! You'll always be welcome here! And remember, To Dare Is To Do ✌ https://t.co/onJuE5vch4
Lo Celso could well turn out to be Christian Eriksen’s long-term replacement at Spurs.
The Dane seems likely to move on from White Hart Lane, even though he will now have to go abroad following the closer of the English transfer window.
Lo Celso could make his Spurs debut against Aston Villa tomorrow, although given how late he arrived, it seems unlikely that Mauricio Pochettino will opt to start him.
