Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers were among the clubs reportedly interested in Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips in the summer transfer window.

Kalvin Phillips is one of the best central midfielders in the Championship, and there was no surprise to see the Leeds United star linked with Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle United among other clubs in the summer transfer window.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham wanted to secure the services of the 23-year-old from Championship outfit Leeds this summer.
The report also credited Newcastle, Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth with interest in the central midfielder.
According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old - who also operated as a central defender at times last season - made 44 appearances in the Championship for Leeds during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process.

It was always unlikely that the Whites would sell Phillips this summer, especially on deadline day, and the Elland Road faithful must be relieved that one of their best players is still at the club.
Leeds made their point clear on transfer deadline day when they posted the following cheeky tweet with a picture of Phillips.
