Hull City left back Stephen Kingsley has been linked with Celtic.

Celtic saw left back Kieran Tierney leave the club on deadline day, finally completing his drawn-out move to Arsenal – and leaving Neil Lennon with work to do.

The Bhoys at least have some sort of contingency plan in place having signed left back Boli Bolingoli from Rapid Vienna earlier this summer.

Bolingoli can come in for Tierney, but Lennon also wants on more left back – and players are being linked with moves to Parkhead, with Celtic having until the end of the month to do deals.

The Sun on Sunday (4/8; page 67) threw up one name, claiming that Celtic were eyeing up Hull City’s Stephen Kingsley as a potential signing if Tierney moved on.

Kingsley, 25, came up through the Falkirk ranks before heading to Swansea and now Hull, where he has been playing regularly since his 2017 arrival.

The Scot – who has one cap for his country – hasn’t always impressed at the KCOM Stadium, and some Tigers fans now think he may be on the move.

Hull signed another left back on deadline day, bringing Leicester City’s Callum Elder to the club on a permanent deal, and some think it’s because Kingsley is on his way.

Fans suggested that Kingsley must be ‘off to Celtic’ with Elder arriving, believing the Australian is his replacement – and some aren’t even too upset about that idea, which may worry some Celtic fans.
