Tom Pearce has left Leeds United for Wigan Athletic on transfer deadline day.
Tom Pearce has taken to Twitter to send a message to Leeds United after joining Wigan Athletic on transfer deadline day.
As announced on Leeds’s official website, Pearce has left Leeds and Championship rivals Wigan.
The 21-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a left wing-back, has taken to Twitter to send an emotional message to the West Yorkshire outfit.
Just want to say thankyou to all the players and staff @LUFC over the past few years. I’ve had some great memories which will stay with me forever.— Tom Pearce (@Tompearce98) August 8, 2019
A massive thankyou to the fans who have supported me from the minute I stepped out at Elland Road pic.twitter.com/ZLcm2ot3NT
Leeds United exit
Pearce is a very good and promising young left-back, and the 21-year-old will hope that he gets the playing time that he did not at Leeds.
The youngster is far from the finished article, and if he gets regular playing time at Wigan, then he will progress and develop as a footballer.
As for Leeds, they are not going to miss Pearce, as they already have enough good players in his position.
The Whites won against Bristol City in the Championship last weekend, as they aim to challenge for a top-two finish in the league table and clinch automatic promotion to the Premier League.
