Everton look set to miss out on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

According to a report in the Guardian, Wilfried Zaha is ‘likely’ to stay at Crystal Palace, in a report which will frustrate Everton fans.

Everton have been pushing hard to get Zaha and the winger submitted a transfer request yesterday in the hope of pushing through a deal.

Palace are said to have looked into signing Ismaila Sarr, who they thought could replace Zaha, but they are struggling to get that transfer done.

The Eagles are now reluctant to let the winger go, and it seems that Everton are now set to miss out.

If Everton fail to sign Zaha it will be a crushing blow to the Toffees, who had made the Ivorian international their main target this summer.

The 26-year-old could have offered skill and pace to Everton’s attack, but it seems that they will have to look elsewhere unless something drastic changes.

Whether Everton will have time to bring in another winger this summer remains to be seen.
