7am deadline-day news: Tottenham Hotspur agree Ryan Sessegnon fee, Leeds United’s Tom Pearce in demand

Ryan Sessegnon fee agreed

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a fee with Fulham over the transfer of Ryan Sessegnon on deadline day.


It has been reported that Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham will pay Fulham an initial transfer fee of £25 million for the left-back, with midfielder Josh Onomah also moving to the North London outfit.

The 19-year-old can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger, and is one of the most promising young players in England.


Tom Pearce future

According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Wigan Athletic have made a late move for Leeds United left-back Tom Pearce.

It has been reported that the Latics have made a bid of £250,000 for the 21-year-old, who can also operate as a left wing-back.

The report has claimed that the youngster was initially expected to join Barnsley on transfer deadline day, but the Latics have made a late move to take him to the DW Stadium.

It has been claimed that a decision on the future of Pearce will be made this morning.

West Bromwich Albion want Fraizer Campbell

According to Sky Sports Transfer Live blog (19:06, Wednesday, August 7, 2019), West Bromwich Albion are among three clubs interested in signing Fraizer Campbell.

It has been reported that Huddersfield Town are leading the race to land the free agent this summer.

The report has also claimed of interest in the 31-year-old former Manchester United and Sunderland striker from West Brom and Middlesbrough.

Campbell is a free agent at the moment, having left Hull City at the end of last season.

Kieran Tierney to leave Celtic

According to BBC Sport, Kieran Tierney will leave Celtic for Arsenal on transfer deadline day.

It has been reported that Premier League club Arsenal have agreed a fee with Scottish Premiership outfit Celtic over the transfer of Tierney.

It has been reported that the Scotland international left-back will now travel to England to discuss personal terms with the Gunners.

Tierney is one of the best young left-backs in Europe, and the 22-year-old’s exit will be a blow for Celtic.
