Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly changed their mind about trying to sign Philippe Coutinho.

Tottenham Hotspur have withdrawn their offer for Philippe Coutinho, according to Le10 Sport.

The Times reported on Tuesday that Spurs had lodged a £21 million loan bid for the Brazil international.

There were further murmurs that the 27-year-old had rejected a move to Tottenham but, according to claims in France, that wasn’t the case.

Le10 Sport have reported that the North Londoners pulled the plug on trying to sign the former Liverpool star, who was ‘strongly tempted’ by what the Lilywhites had offered.

The report adds that Paulo Dybala is now Tottenham’s priority.

There is less than 24 hours left in the summer transfer window and Spurs have a number of logs on the fire, including for Giovani Lo Celso who has reportedly pulled out of Real Betis’s friendly tonight, while Bruno Fernandes is also heavily linked.

The £63 million signing of Tanguy Ndombele is the club’s only first-team addition so far.
