HITC Sport understands a number of Championship clubs are eyeing beat-the-deadline moves for Juventus striker Stephy Mavididi

Juventus forward Stephy Mavididi is a loan target for a number of Championship and foreign clubs before Thursday’s transfer deadline, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Juventus are open to the idea of sending Mavididi out on loan so that he can continue his development with regular first-team football.

News of Mavididi’s availability has alerted several English Championship clubs as well as a number of foreign sides.

Mavididi joined Juventus from Arsenal last summer and after impressing for Juve’s Under-23s side he broke into the first-team at the back end of last season.

The 21-year-old made his first-team debut in April against SPAL and was named on the bench for a further three games as the bianconeri secured another Serie A title.

Mavididi is likely to find himself down the pecking order at Juventus this summer and he is interested in a loan move away in search of first-team action.

Juventus have fielded enquiries from a number of clubs and they make a decision where they feel is the best option for Mavididi to go on loan.
