Borna Barisic joined Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers last summer.
Borna Barisic of Rangers
Barisic joined Rangers from NK Osijek in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £2.2 million.
The 26-year-old Croatia international central defender did not play consistently well for Rangers last season, and former Rangers striker Boyd does not think that he is good enough to play for Steven Gerrard’s side.
Boyd said on Sky Sports Football (12:37pm, August 4, 2019): “For me, the left-back is still a problem for Rangers.
“It ain’t going to go away. I have seen Borna Barisic for a number of months now. I don’t think he is up to in a Rangers jersey.”
New left-back needed
Rangers do need to sign a left-back in the summer transfer window, as that is an area that they are weak in.
There is still time for the Gers to sign a new left-back, but it is imperative that Rangers get the ball rolling on that front.

Positive start to the league season
Rangers made a good start to the 2019-20 Scottish Premiership at the weekend, as they got the better of Kilmarnock 2-1 away from home.
The Gers needed to a late goal to pick up all three points from the encounter, but at the end of the day, they clinched the win.
