The Clash Royale balance changes you need to know about that were introduced with the arrival of season 2 this August 2019.

While the Fortnite community is currently drooling over their precious season 10, the Clash Royale community can now enjoy their season 2 branded Shipwrecked. The game’s second season has finally arrived this August 2019, and it has brought about a ton of much needed balance changes.

Both Fortnite and Clash Royale have a long way to go to matching the obscene number of seasons produced by Disney’s newest prisoners, The Simpsons, but season 2 for Clash Royale is very exciting. It takes players to a stunning tropical beach named Shipwreck Island, and it also boasts a sand castle tower skin and a pirate-themed King emote.

But, on the nitty-gritty side of things, the August 2019 arrival also brings about a plethora of much-needed balance changes.

Clash Royale Season 2 balance changes

A paradise island and summer cosmetics is ample booty for any pirate, but – underneath the hypnotising cosmetics – Clash Royale season 2 includes a number of welcomed balance changes.

For the Fisherman, Supercell has increased the Anchor Range from 6.5 to 7, as well improved its Hitpoints by +10%.

Meanwhile, P.E.K.K.A, the backbone for a wide range of defensive decks, has had its legs cut out from underneath. While its Melee Range has improved from Short to Long, the biggest change is perhaps the 9.5% decrease in its health.

As for Valkyrie, the fiery lass has had her Melee Range devalued from 1.9 to 1.2. This was always the intention, meaning the barbarous ginger was always pushing above her weight.

P.E.K.K.A and Valkyrie both suffered changes that made them easier to contend with, and the same applies to the mad lad, Barbarian Barrel. Its Damage has been reduced by 15%, meaning it defeats overleveled Goblins but no longer Princess, Rascal Girls, or Dart Goblin.

Finally, the Lumberjack has seen a slight nerf to its Hit Speed with a reduction from 0.7 to 0.8, meanwhile the Magic Archer is the one to come out of these newfound balance changes the most improved.

The Magic Archer’s Damage has been amped by +16%, and its Hit Speed has changed from 1.0s to 1.1s. In theory, this change will allow the Legolas and Gandolf cocktail to 1-hit Spear Goblins and still 2-hit Minions when underleveled.
