Tottenham Hotspur rounded off their pre-season campaign with a draw with Inter Milan, before they were then beaten on penalties.

A number of Tottenham fans took to Twitter to comment on Kyle Walker-Peters’ performance during Spurs’ International Champions Cup clash with Inter Milan on Sunday – and it appears that the right-back’s display has completely split the fans down the middle.

Walker-Peters looks to be in pole position to begin the new campaign as Mauricio Pochettino’s first-choice right-back following Kieran Trippier’s departure for Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer.

Pre-season has turned into something of a baptism of fire for the academy graduate, with Spurs facing the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, before rounding off their summer with the weekend’s clash with the Serie A side.

Walker-Peters played 80 minutes against Antonio Conte’s men as the game ended in a 1-1 draw before the Serie A side came out on top in the penalty shootout.

There were plenty of Spurs fans who felt that the youngster was impressive and showed exactly why he is ready to be Tottenham’s first-choice in his position during the coming campaign.
