I’ve just watched Jack Butland’s performance yesterday for Stoke after of course watching the entire match against Leipzig for our Tom Heaton, amazing saves, what a great bit of business!!…Butland, £20m, you’re having a laugh! @AVFCOfficial #AVFC #UTV— David Hudson (@BrummieDavid) August 4, 2019
We never really did replace Brad Friedel, I mean a solid number 1, Shay given came in but was finished & we’ve flitted with keepers let’s face it are only good enough for No2…I feel in Heaton we’ve finally a proper no1 #AVFC— Levi Micah Brown (@LeviMicahBrown) August 4, 2019
Really well against a decent side. Midfield were all excellent, McGinn stood out for me. Heaton looked great in goal. Nakamba didn’t come on, Trezeguet came on for El Ghazi who got injured and looked great, Kodjia came on for Wesley #AVFC— Ashley Evans (@ashleyevans1985) August 4, 2019
The Heaton signing has settled my nerves a bit over that— ~ (@sam_avfc1) August 4, 2019
Steer was always a good shot stopper.— James Howard-White (@jhowardwhite) August 4, 2019
What I liked most was how Heaton came and claimed the cross. That was Steer’s weak spot. Just a little short to command the area successfully.
