Tottenham Hotspur are again being linked with Elseid Hysaj.

Tottenham Hotspur’s right back situation is causing some concern, especially after Juan Foyth’s injury against Bayern Munich.

Spurs sold Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer, and Mauricio Pochettino was seemingly happy to stick with Kyle Walker-Peters and convert Foyth to a right back.

However, Walker-Peters hasn’t enjoyed the best pre-season, and Foyth is now facing a lay-off after picking up an injury against Bayern on Wednesday.

Serge Aurier is still in the mix, but may find that his first-team chances are limited, and with Foyth out, a new right back may become a priority.

The Express now claim that Tottenham want to land Elseid Hysaj, with the Napoli right back also a target for Roma and Juventus this summer.

Hysaj, 25, registered just two assists last season, and whilst he’s a little quicker than Trippier, some may worry that he doesn’t possess good enough attacking play.

The Albanian was a favourite of Maurizio Sarri at Empoli and Napoli, meaning a Juventus reunion wouldn’t be a shock, but Spurs are seemingly hunting a £20million deal.

Many Spurs fans wouldn’t be happy with such a move, believing that Hysaj is ‘just an Albanian Trippier’, believing that Youcef Atal of Nice should be signed instead.

Some are just urging Pochettino to sign Hysaj, branding him ‘dross’ and worse than Aurier, adding that he’s not worth stunting Walker-Peters’ development for.
