Kemar Roofe looks set to leave Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
Some Leeds United fans have urged the club on Twitter to sign Neal Maupay from Brentford as a replacement for Kemar Roofe.
Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa has told Sky Sports that Roofe is leaving the club in the summer transfer window.
According to Dhnet.be, the Championship club in England have agreed a deal with Belgian outfit Anderlecht over the transfer of the 26-year-old striker.
The reportedly imminent departure of Roofe, who can also operate as a winger, means that Leeds will need a replacement, and some fans of the West Yorkshire outfit want 22-year-old Brentford forward Maupay, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder and scored 25 goals and provided eight assists in 43 Championship appearances for the Bees last season, according to WhoScored.

Surely Gayle or maupay would be perfect with ammount of chances we created last year or do we totally lack ambition— Stephen Fitzpatrick (@stephenfitzpa15) August 2, 2019
Leeds should go sign Maupay. Do it #lufc— Callum (@Callum_192) August 2, 2019
Cahill and Maupay would be perfect, I’ll be happy with any signing now— Jacob Wadsworth (@JacobWadsworth6) August 3, 2019
Gayle is crocked. Bielsa will break him into pieces. We need someone a bit more robust. Maupay would be a cracking signing though #lufc— Neil (@OooahhBerardi) August 3, 2019
If we replace Roofe with a player with the proven quality of Maupay, Assombalonga or Gayle then its chill but it won’t happen and we will go into the season relying on Bamford to do a Chris Wood #lufc— Lewis James Armitstead (@1ManArmytstead) August 3, 2019
Hopefully Maupay is on #lufc radar to replace Roofe.— Jack_Attack (@JackReardon43) August 3, 2019
Next few days important and pressure is on the club to give MB the firepower. Roofe was good first half of season then not so good 2019. Maupay would be an upgrade. #LUFC— Jack_Attack (@JackReardon43) August 3, 2019
Ik would much rather spend 10 or 15mil on Maupay— BrewzaBoy LUFC (@Forever22Mot) August 3, 2019
Disappointment for some Leeds United fans?
While Maupay would be a very good signing for Leeds, it seems that the Frenchman is heading to the Premier League.
According to talkSPORT, Brighton and Hove Albion will complete the signing of the youngster imminently for £20 million.
