Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter believe their chances of signing Giovani Lo Celso is now dead.

The Argentine playmaker has been linked with a move to North London all summer long but Spurs have struggled to get the deal over the line.

Today, the 23-year-old has been named in the Spanish side's squad for a trip to Morocco and with only five left in the transfer window, some Lilywhites fans believe that's that in regards to signing him.

It's been a horrendous summer on the transfer front for Tottenham.

Yes, they spent a club-record £63 million on Tanguy Ndombele but, as things stand, he is their only first-team signing, given that Jack Clarke has returned to Leeds on loan this season.

It could yet be a brilliant summer, with deals for Bruno Fernandes and Ryan Sessegnon also in the pipeline, but chairman Daniel Levy is leaving it very late.

If Ndombele is the only senior player that Levy signs, it has to go down as a disastrous window when you consider what could've been.
