Football.London have claimed that Moussa Sissoko could be used at right-back for Tottenham this season.

Spurs sold Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid for £20 million last month, leaving Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters to battle it out.

Juan Foyth could also be used as an auxiliary right-back.

The Argentine suffered an ankle injury earlier this week, however, and with Aurier and Walker-Peters not having Pochettino's full and entire trust, there might just be another option for the Tottenham boss.

Football.London thinks that Moussa Sissoko could be used at right-back this season.

They highlight his power, pace and stamina as the attributes that make him ideally suited to the role.

The 29-year-old Frenchman was a really important player for Spurs last season, but increased competition for places in the middle of the park with Tanguy Ndombele's arrival means that he might struggle for regular action.

Moussa Sissoko of Tottenham Hotspur looks on during a training session on March 11, 2019 at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Barcelona, Spain.

The problem is that he was such a key player for Tottenham last term, and Pochettino won't want to lose him from his starting XI. So playing him at right-back might actually make sense.

The Tottenham ace certainly has the physical attributes needed to flourish at right-back, but whether his positional sense and tackling ability is good enough is up for debate.

There is only one way to find out, however.

France's midfielder Moussa Sissoko arrives in Clairefontaine en Yvelines on November 6, 2017, as part of the team's preparation for the friendly football match against Wales and Germany.
