Liverpool have recently been linked with a move for the Villarreal attacker.
Liverpool have one of the most impressive attacking line-ups in world football.
On their day, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are right up there with the very best.
Should one of those suffer an injury, however, Jurgen Klopp has just Divock Origi and Rhian Brewster in reserve – neither of whom are proven at the very highest level.
With this in mind, Liverpool should consider signing another forward, and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze would be a great option for them.
In fact, Goal reported earlier this summer that the 20-year-old is a transfer target for the Merseyside outfit.
The Nigeria international possesses blistering pace, and he would undoubtedly add even more of a threat to the Reds’ attacking play.
At just 20, the Villarreal starlet has plenty of years left ahead of him at the very highest level, and Klopp would be able to mould him into the kind of player he likes.
Direct playing style
Chukwueze is raw and fearless in the manner in which he plays, and that makes him ideally suited to Liverpool’s swashbuckling playing style.
He could be available for just €40 million (£36.6 million) this summer, according to Marca, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for money for the Reds.
Whether Klopp believes he needs another attacker, however, remains to be seen.
