According to FC Inter News, both Leeds United and Newcastle United are interested in signing Inter Milan striker Facundo Colidio.

Colidio, 19, was on the books of Boca Juniors before heading to Inter in 2017, where he has been attempting to establish himself.

The Argentinian hitman hit five goals in five UEFA Youth League games last season, as well as scoring five times in 20 Primavera outings for Inter.

Inter may now cash in on Colidio though, and given that they will allegedly sell for €8million to €10million (£7.3million to £9million), interest is mounting.

It’s claimed that Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa admires Colidio, but Newcastle hope to beat the Whites by offering him Premier League football, and the two sides will both talk to Inter today to try and thrash out a deal.

FC Inter 1908 recently reported that Andrea Radrizzani’s right hand man Lorenzo Tonetti was spotted at the Inter offices in June, which may just hint at Leeds striking a relationship with the Italian giants.

Leeds would be wise to bring in another striker regardless of Kemar Roofe’s future, and Colidio could fit the bill, even though he’s inexperienced.

It’s hard to see just where he’d fit in at Newcastle, and he’s really not what they need right now, having just one landed one South American hitman with no Premier League experience in Joelinton.

The money doesn’t quite add up for Leeds though, as that would be a considerable outlay for a teenager, and whilst a deal may well happen, there are issues with him being targeted by both sides.
