According to a report from Italian media outlet Il Messaggero, Tottenham ace Toby Alderweireld has already agreed personal terms with Roma.
The Belgium international had a £25 million release clause inserted in his contract with Spurs, but that expired last week.
And the Sun claims that Tottenham are now demanding £40 million for the 30-year-old.
Alderweireld's current contract expires next summer, however, so Daniel Levy would surely consider selling him for cheaper than that fee.
Il Messaggero claims that Spurs would actually listen to offers of around €28 million (£25.6 million) for the former Ajax man.
The Italian publication claims that Roma are still keen to bring the Tottenham ace to the Italian capital. In fact, they suggest that Alderweireld has already agreed personal terms with the Serie A giants.
The 30-year-old is a vitally important player for Spurs, but the last thing they will want to do is lose him for nothing next summer.
Daniel Levy will undoubtedly get the best deal that he can for Tottenham, and that might just mean that Alderweireld is moved on this summer.
