Everton are said to have had a bid accepted for Mbaye Diagne, but the transfer does appear unlikely.
Everton fans are not buying reports that they have had a bid accepted for Mbaye Diagne.
However, Everton supporters think that the transfer report is way wide of the mark.
He a good finisher but Turkish league isnt the best League. Robinho and Hugo Rodaellega still scoring in that league. Dont see it as a goer myself— El Pivote (@elpivoteftbl) August 1, 2019
Doesn’t make sense to me ,can’t see that happening— ScoutXd (@ScoutXd1) August 1, 2019
I’m sorry what….— Jacob Sampsell (@JacobSamp17) August 1, 2019
I’m late to the party on this one. Not sure I believe it, but he is big, strong, very physical as I recall – did watch some Gala matches, great in the air, can score with his right. I GUESS if Niasse + Tosun leave, Kean starts, DCL in if we are up, Diagne in if we need a goal?— Ryan Williams (@RyanSoccerAA) August 1, 2019
Who the fook???? And don’t we know now that Turkish league and they’re forwards Niasse & Tosun was enough— SIL (@Theboysil) August 1, 2019
Excuse me what?— Angel Boi (@Jon_Donnn17) August 1, 2019
No chance. We’d never go for him, and he only joined Gala in January.— Talk of the Gwladys (@TOTGwladys) August 1, 2019
It does seem highly unlikely that Everton would be keen on Diagne.
The Toffees bought Cenk Tosun from the Turkish league only for him to flop, and that may well have put them off returning.
Diagne is also 27, which puts him above the age of Everton’s usual additions.
If Diagne was brought to Goodison Park it would surely only be in a covering role, rather than as a starter.
Everton seem to have turned to Moise Kean to be their new number nine for the new season, with his move from Juventus expected to go through very soon, as reported by the Daily Mail.
