Reported Tottenham target Dani Alves is set to return to Brazil.
In mid-July, Tottenham Hotspur were claimed to have sounded out free agent Dani Alves over a potential move, according to Duncan Castles on The Transfer Window Podcast.
Tottenham subsequently sold Kieran Trippier, and this week they saw Juan Foyth stretchered off in a friendly.
But a late move to sign Alves as an alternative now looks off the table.
Goal report Alves has decided to return to Brazil and sign with Sao Paulo.
Alves, 36, has remarkably been offered a three-year deal. It's claimed the most any European side would offer him was a one-year contract.
Tottenham would too have only seen him as a stop gap solution.
Alves getting his future sorted at least prevents Tottenham using any of their time on speaking to him further.
It's unclear the extent of Juan Foyth's injury. In the mean time Tottenham have Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters to compete for the right-back position.
