Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.

One area where Aston Villa have excelled in during these past few seasons has been their ability to deliver the goods during set-piece situations.
Whether the quality came from former loanee Robert Snodgrass, the new fan favourite John McGinn, or Conor Hourihane, who has been one of the best dead-ball specialists outside of England’s top-tier during the past few seasons.
Well, he could be in for some competition if Aston Villa sign reported target Harry Wilson this summer, with the Welshman touted for a move to the newly-promoted club.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp recently stated that they are in ‘constant conversations’ with Wilson about a potential exit, amid links with Villa, as quoted by ESPN.
Wilson will be a familiar name to Villa supporters because he was on-loan at Derby County last season, the team that Dean Smith’s side beat in the Championship play-off final.
One thing that Smith and his coaching staff would have discussed during their preparations for that final was Wilson’s ability from set-piece situations, especially free-kicks because he did score some crackers last season.

There’s no doubt that his standout strike came against Manchester United at Old Trafford when Frank Lampard guided Derby to a stunning League Cup win against the Premier League side.
If he pens a deal with Villa then he will offer Hourihane some serious competition for those set-piece duties, and he could even argue that he is better than the Irishman at taking free-kicks.
Either way, Wilson, Hourihane, McGinn, and even Grealish providing set-piece delivers for Villa in the Premier League next season is something that will lift many fans from their feet.
