Everton will be hoping to challenge Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool for European places ahead of the new season.
TalkSport pundit Ian Holloway has urged a Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola or a Mauricio Pochettino to 'get a hold of' Wilfried Zaha, who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer, including Everton.
The Telegraph recently claimed that Everton have denied making a second cash plus player offer for the Crystal Palace hitman, who is seemingly keen on leaving Selhurst Park.
During the early part of his career, Zaha did make a move to Manchester United, but that didn't work out, as he has since taken his game to another level since returning to Palace.
Speaking to Kick Off on TalkSport (29/07/2019 at 9:25 pm), Holloway, who managed Zaha when he was a youngster, admitted that he would love to see him playing for a team in the Champions League.
"I would love one of these top managers to get hold of him," Holloway told TalkSport. "I think Roy has been brilliant with him. I think Ray Lewington have really affected him in a brilliant way. I think he's outstanding.
"I would love a Guardiola to get hold of him, a Klopp to get hold of him, even a Pochettino. But he could [play in a Man City, Liverpool or Spurs system]. He's a natural athlete.
"I'm not sure he could move abroad, but I would have said Real Madrid [would be a club he could play for]. I honestly believe."
The summer transfer window will slam shut on August 8 and it remains to be seen whether Zaha will still be a Palace player come the deadline.
Everton are still being active in the market, Liverpool are yet to conclude a major deal, Spurs are still seemingly looking to add to their squad, whilst City seemingly are happy with the squad they have at their disposal.
Given how important a player like Zaha is to Palace, it would be a surprise if they were to part ways with him cheaply, so that decreases his chances of leaving because a team would have to slump up big-money for his services in what is now a short space of time.
