Tottenham are keen on signing Barcelona ace Malcom this summer for around £40 million, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Sport, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

Spurs have already signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and Jack Clarke from Leeds United, with the latter being loaned back to the Championship club, but the addition of another attack-minded player wouldn't go a miss.

Malcom, 22, joined Barca from Bordeaux in the summer of 2018, for around £36.5 million, according to BBC Sport, but he struggled to establish himself at the Camp Nou, racking up just four goals and two assists in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Catalan giants.

He might just be able to reinvigorate his career at Tottenham under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino, however.

The South American does possess real talent, he just didn't get the opportunity to showcase it enough on a consistent basis last season.

At the same time, however, it could be agreed that he is an overpriced, overhyped wannabe who doesn't have what it takes to make it at the very highest level.

Harsh maybe?

Some Tottenham fans took to Twitter, delivering their verdicts on the possibility of Malcom moving to north London this summer...
