Last year, tensions and excitement peaked when the idea of Danny Dyer entering the Love Island villa surfaced.
While Danny declined to make an appearance in series 4, this year's 2019 season saw an ever bigger Hollywood star enter the villa as Tamer Hassan stole his daughter's limelight during a hilarious cameo.
Ovie Soko's brother and cousin were as chill as the 6ft 7 basketball player and Greg O'Shea's mum melted hearts when she gifted Amber Gill with a lucky Shamrock pendant necklace.
However, it was Tamer who really stole the show...
Belle drops the 'famous dad' bombshell
Dani Dyer became famous for the "my dad is Danny Dyer" quote during her time in the 2018 Majorca villa although Belle was much more coy when it came to announcing her actor dad.
Once Belle dropped the news to villa boyfriend Anton Danyluk, she told her fitness instructor hunk that her dad was lovely and would welcome him with open arms.
Meanwhile on the outside, Mr Hassan was causing a storm with his hilariously blunt quotes about being a protective dad. in conversation with The Sun, the actor offered a personal take on his daughter's experiences with Anton:
"I thought ‘if you say anything that ain’t true or upset Belle, then mate I am coming in on a helicopter with a parachute and I am picking you up and taking you out’."
Tamer Hassan: Wife and family
Fifty-one-year-old Tamer is married to Karen Hassan and the pair have two children, Belle - of course - and Taser; the latter is a semi-pro football player.
According to Transfermarkt, Taser a midfielder for Horsham FC, joining the club back in February 2017. Belle is a make-up artist and you can follow her on Instagram at @bellehassan with little brother under @taserhassan.

What has Tamer starred in?
Hassan is perhaps best known as Fred from The Football Factory; he played the leader of the Millwall firm alongside such actors as Danny Dyer (Eastenders). It's arguably his most iconic role, but he really has been in a lot!
He played Forzho, a Dothraki Khal in Game of Thrones, appearing in season six. The episode was called "Book of the Stranger".
Additionally, he's appeared in the likes of Batman Begins, Layer Cake, Clash of the Titans, Kick-Ass, Eastern Promises and The Business, also starring Danny Dyer.
There's certainly a Hassan and Dyer connection, and considering Danny's daughter won last year, perhaps Tamer's will win this year - who knows!
The daddy of all Love Island cameos
Tamer steamrolled into the villa with the type of cockney swagger and macho man-ness that would have Danny Dyer quaking in his boots.
Sat beside his daughter and her boyfriend, the 51-year-old recalled the time Anton has asked to stay in Belle's bed, adding: "I was like I'm going to rip his head off."
He also grilled into Anton over a scene where he was crying during the Craig David performance.
Nonetheless, the nervous and awkward laughs were brushed to the side as Tamer announced that he supported the couple and even had a room reserved in the house for when Anton visits.
However, Belle added:
"My dad said there was a bedroom waiting for Anton at the house... obviously we're not going to be in the same bedroom cus' he would not allow that!"
