Leeds United sold Pontus Jansson to Brentford earlier this summer, in one of the most surprising transfer moves of the window so far.

Leeds United fans have laughed at Pontus Jansson, after he got skinned in Brentford’s pre-season friendly against Bournemouth at the weekend.

Jansson left Leeds to join Brentford earlier this summer, in what was a shock transfer.

The Swedish centre-back’s relationship with Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa seemingly broke down, which gave Brentford a chance to swoop.

Jansson is now starting to settle with his new side, but he didn’t make the best impression on Saturday.

Brentford were beaten 3-1 by Bournemouth in pre-season, and Jordon Ibe completely left him for dead for one of the goals.

Ibe cut inside after Jansson tried a slide tackle in the box, leaving the former Leeds defender stranded, before lashing home from close range.

And it is far to say that Leeds fans were feeling little sympathy for their former player.

Leeds have still not replaced Jansson, with Ben White the only defensive addition that they have made so far this summer.
