Celtic have snapped up defender Hatem Abd Elhamed.
Celtic brought in their newest signing on Wednesday, confirming that defender Hatem Abd Elhamed has joined the club from Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
The Bhoys desperately needed help at right back this summer, having seen both Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa leave the club in June.
It's taken a while, but Celtic do finally have a new right back at Parkhead, as Abd Elhamed has arrived to bolster Neil Lennon's options.
The 28-year-old has been something of a nomad so far, turning out in Israel, Belgium and Romania, but now heads to Scotland to solve Lennon's right back problems.
Few will know who Abd Elhamed is, but the one-cap Israel international will be looking to make a real name for himself with his move to Parkhead.
What's interesting is that Abd Elhamed is represented by agent Dudu Dahan, who will be a very familiar name to Celtic fans – and he took to Twitter to celebrate another of his clients joining the Bhoys, posing alongside Abd Elhamed inside Celtic's stadium.
Dahan has done plenty of business with Celtic under Lennon, with Efe Ambrose, Rami Gershon, Nir Bitton and Beram Kayal all represented by Dahan upon their moves to Celtic.
His links to Lennon continued at Hibernian as goalkeeper Ofir Marciano joined the club, and it would be little surprise to see more of his clients heading to Celtic with Lennon back in charge again.
