Liverpool haven't made a high-profile addition this summer.

It's fair to say that Liverpool fans are growing restless.

The transfer window for Premier League clubs closes in less than two weeks and the Reds are yet to make a high-profile signing.

The only player to join Liverpool this summer has been 17-year-old defender Sepp van den Berg, who hasn't been signed as a first-team player.

There are, however, murmurs of exciting transfers and, according to L'Equipe, Liverpool have agreed a £72 million deal in principle to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe. That being said, so have three other sides, going by the same report.

The European champions posted a message on Twitter on Friday reminding supporters that their Premier League campaign kicks off in two weeks when Norwich City visit Anfield.

But the fans weren't as enthusiastic about that post as the club's social media manager was.

You can understand the fans' frustration.

Yes, Liverpool won the Champions League, but they lost out on the Premier League title by a point and it's worrying that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have improved over the summer.

Logically, the Sky Blues might be better than they were last season and you wonder if Klopp's side - who have Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain available this time around - are resting on their laurels a little bit.
