Tottenham Hotspur have been tracking the Real Betis man all summer long. .

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Mucho Deporte, Tottenham are now ready to up their offer for Real Betis ace Giovani Lo Celso from £45 million to £54 million.

Spurs have been chasing the Argentine all summer long, and Mauricio Pochettino seems to be extremely keen to get a deal for the midfield play-maker over the line this summer.

Lo Celso, 23, is a truly top-class footballer, and he would undoubtedly improve Tottenham as a footballing side, if he does in fact move to north London.

Mucho Deporte claims that the Argentine international is set to fly into London in the coming days, with Spurs ready to lodge a new £54 million bid for his services.

The Spanish publication claims that this is a lot closer to Betis’s £67m valuation of the midfielder.

Whether Betis will accept Tottenham’s reported £54m offer remains to be seen, but considering the fact that they’ve already signed Nabil Fekir, the London club’s offer will surely prove to be a tempting one.
