Juventus are reportedly keen on Tottenham’s Danny Rose.
According to reports from the London Evening Standard and Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur are pursuing a deal for Juventus star Paulo Dybala.
It’s stated that Dybala may now be available for around £80million, and Spurs are looking to get in and do a shock deal for the Argentinian international.
Dybala, 25, is one of the biggest names in Europe, but may be offloaded this summer after a disappointing season, in which he registered just five goals and four assists in Serie A.
Having hit 22 goals in the previous season, it’s been suggested that Dybala actually suffered from Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in Turin, and Spurs may feel that they can land a superb signing by landing the former Palermo man.
The biggest problem would be the fee, as Dybala would break Tottenham’s record. However, there may now be scope for Tottenham to attempt a part-exchange deal for Dybala.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that new Juve boss Maurizio Sarri is keen to land Danny Rose, and has even told the club to get a deal done for the Tottenham left back as he looks set to leave Spurs.
With Rose likely to be valued at around £15million to £20million, Tottenham could be able to bring down the asking price for Dybala to a more manageable £55million or £60million. At that price, Tottenham would be foolish to ignore a move for versatile attacker Dybala.
Offloading an unwanted left back for a superstar seems too good to be true, but the door appears to be open for such a move – and Mauricio Pochettino should certainly engineer an attempt to secure such a deal after hearing how much Sarri wants Rose this summer.
