Aston Villa boss Dean Smith is said to be keen to snap up Mattia Perin from Juventus.
Aston Villa fans have had a mixed response to the rumours that they could move for Mattia Perin.
The claret and blues are known to want a goalkeeper, and the Italian could now have emerged as an option.
Perin would be a relatively high profile addition for Villa, but his addition would not be unanimously popular.
While some Villa fans are very keen for Perin to be snapped up, others are more cautious about the transfer.
He was on his way to Benfica last week then the deal didn’t go through because of doubts about his fitness. @juventusfc are trying to offload him after the return of 107 y.o. @gianluigibuffon and will ask for silly money, I wouldn’t go there— Michael Panizza (@Monkeywrench666) July 24, 2019
Would be a very good player in his prime but a big leap of faith needed— James Smith (@smithyjames7) July 24, 2019
Would be a very bad signing 13m for a player out until nov/dec and has done acl in both knees.— Peter Hennessy (@PeterHennessy3) July 24, 2019
Good keeper but would need time…I’m still a little scarred from the Gollini affair…— Levi Micah Brown (@LeviMicahBrown) July 25, 2019

Villa already have Jed Steer and Lovre Kalinic at the club, who are battling to be number one, but do seem to feel that they can upgrade in goal.
Perin has experience of playing at the very highest level, but his injury record is of some concern.
Villa have been extremely busy already this summer, and Perin would be another eye catching addition for Dean Smith’s side, if he did arrive.
