Egypt international Trezeguet became Aston Villa’s ninth signing of the summer on Wednesday.

Wigan midfielder Sam Morsy has waxed-lyrical about Aston Villa’s new signing Trezeguet and stated that he is an ‘unbelievable’ player.

On Wednesday morning, Villa announced on their official website that Mahmoud Hassan, more popularly known as Trezeguet, has joined from Turkish side Kasimpasa.

The 24-year-old winger becomes Villa’s ninth signing of the summer, and fourth attack-minded purchase after Anwar El Ghazi, Jota and club-record signing Wesley Moraes.

Nonetheless, Trezeguet’s international teammate, Morsy, sent this message about the Egyptian on his personal Twitter account as he backed him to produce great things.

Following his move to Villa, Trezeguet has also reunited with his other international teammate Ahmed Elmohamady. The duo were recently on Africa Cup of Nations duty.

Anyhow, Villa’s new recruit, when selected, will more than likely operate on the right-hand side, which will mean that he’ll be able to link up with Elmohamady on the flanks.

That does give Dean Smith a bit of a boost when it comes to coaching the duo on the training ground because they’ll already have a great understanding with one another.

Given that Trezeguet has arrived late to Villa’s set-up, he would have to do really well from now till the start of the new season because it seems as though playmaker Jota might be starting against Tottenham on August 10.
