Allan Saint-Maximin may just have given away that he is joining Newcastle United on Instagram.

Newcastle are pursuing Saint-Maximin of Nice according to L’Equipe, with Steve Bruce’s side looking to push through a deal for the Frenchman.

And eagle eyed Newcastle fans noticed that the flying winger was showing a keen interest in them yesterday.

Saint-Maximin ‘liked’ two photos of Joelinton moving to Newcastle, which suggest that he is paying more attention to the goings on at St. James’ Park than usual.

It may be the clearest hint yet that Newcastle are set to sign Saint-Maximin in the near future.

L’Equipe claim that Newcastle would have to pay £22.5 million to sign Saint-Maximin.

If he does arrive on Tyneside he should offer Bruce pace and quality in attack.

Newcastle could then have a forward line made up of Miguel Almiron, Saint-Maximin and Joelinton, which looks like an exciting trio.
