Everton and West Ham United were reportedly keen to bring former Porto winger Yacine Brahimi to the Premier League this summer.

We can file away Yacine Brahimi for another year. After more months of intense speculation regarding a move to the Premier League, this gossip column regular has finally found himself a new club.
In truth, 2019 was always going to be all about Brahimi. It was common knowledge that his contract at Porto was coming to an end at the start of the summer so reports linking him with countless clubs in England were simply unavoidable.
Goal France claimed that Everton had held talks with an Algerian international they tried and failed to sign for a club-record fee three years ago. West Ham were linked too by Daily Mercato with Brahimi promising to add speed and cutting edge to an attack weakened by the loss of Marko Arnautovic.
But, like West Ham’s departed number seven, it seems that Brahimi has decided instead to chase cold, hard cash in the prime of his career.

Instead of seizing a chance to finally prove himself in the Premier League, the 29-year-old will instead be spending next season in Qatar.
As reported by the BBC, the former African Footballer of the Year has joined Al Rayyan, a move which will undoubtedly inflate his bank balance even if it does end his career at the top level of European football.
It looks like we’ll never see Brahimi racing down the wing in England.
