West Ham United fans have had a mixed response to rumours that they could sign Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny.

Ahly News in Egypt claim that West Ham are keen on the defensive midfielder.

With Pedro Obiang heading out, it could be that West Ham move for the Arsenal man.

But there has been differing views from West Ham supporters on the potential signing of Elneny.

While some Hammers supporters think that he would be a strong addition, others believe he would be a downgrade on what they already have.

West Ham have strengthened their attack already this summer, and it seems likely that Manuel Pellegrini’s side will focus on bolstering their defence now.

If Elneny did arrive at West Ham it seems likely he would play a covering role for Declan Rice.
