Liverpool found out the hard way what Gareth Bale is capable of.
His spectacular bicycle kick in the Champions League final against the Reds will be the defining moment of his career.
Unfortunately for the Wales international it has all been downhill ever since.
Bale, 30, has fallen out of favour with Zinedine Zidane. He wasn't included at all in their friendly with Bayern Munich yesterday.
A move is in his and Real Madrid's best interests, but where?
Some Liverpool fans have been calling on their club to make a move before the transfer deadline...
Liverpool should go for bale— Elliot commeny (@ECommeny) July 21, 2019

I wouldn't mind Bale at Liverpool on loan if Madrid pay half his wages.— Huami⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (@Huami_Official) July 21, 2019
He'd be a decent back up to our front 3 and Brewster
I think Liverpool should be looking at Gareth Bale would be a good option ♂️— Sean Hansen (@Sean_Hansen) July 21, 2019
Would definitely take Gareth Bale to Liverpool under the right financial circumstances.— Tony McAtamney (@TonyMcAtamney) July 21, 2019
Liverpool sign Bale. you heard it here 1st— #GBEVU KING (@pk_YNWA) July 21, 2019
Gareth Bale has won 4 champions league titles with Madrid and scored arguably the best goal the competition has ever seen (better than Zidanes in my opinion). The way he is being treated is a disgrace. Sign him up Liverpool ⚽️— Matt Richards (@mattrichards91) July 21, 2019
Could it happen?
The only way Liverpool could make a deal for Bale acceptable would be an agreement to sign him on loan.
This way the Reds could commit to paying half of his wages, getting him of Real's books for the season.
One of Bale's biggest problems is injuries, but he would not be required to be a regular starter at Liverpool.
Add him into the mix as cover for Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, and one of the most prolific attacks in Europe instantly gets better.
