The 2017 recruit is out of favour at Leeds United.

The Leeds United midfielder, Vurnon Anita, has posted on Instagram amid fresh reports about his future on Monday.

Anita spent last season on loan with Willem II in his native Netherlands and is not thought to have a future at Leeds after failing to feature in pre-season.

The 30-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Panathinaikos, although it was claimed by Sdna this morning that his wage demands of at least €700,000-a-year (around £630,000) could price out the Greek giants.

The website added that Anita’s agents are subsequently working on a switch to Major League Soccer for their client.

But in an apparent response to the rumour, the Dutchman added the following message via his story this evening:

Anita recently entered the final year of his contract at Leeds, who according to Sdna is in talks over an early termination.

The former Ajax and Newcastle United player last made a competitive appearance for Leeds in April 2018.
