Why Leeds' Jack Harrison could embarrass Jack Clarke

Is Jack Clarke going to oust Jack Harrison at Leeds United? Not if the latter's pre-season form is anything to go by.

It's only pre-season, but Jack Harrison is looking like a serious player for Leeds United nevertheless.

The Manchester City loanee shone again on Saturday as Marcelo Bielsa's side narrowly beat Western Sydney Wanderers.

The Leeds winger set up Mateusz Bogusz's opener with a clever cut-back pass, and should've had a second assist but Patrick Bamford couldn't convert his teasing cross.

His pre-season form will delight Bielsa, but one player who should be worried is Jack Clarke.

Both of them returned to Elland Road on loan for the 2019-20 campaign, with Clarke signing from Tottenham Hotspur.

But it could be quite embarrassing if Clarke, a Spurs player, is playing second fiddle to Harrison and that's exactly what'll happen if the 22-year-old brings his pre-season form to the Championship - and he might.

Harrison didn't have a brilliant spell at Leeds last term, but he certainly came to life in the final months and if he picks up where he left off then it's really bad news for Clarke.

If Bielsa had to pick his best XI tomorrow, the 18-year-old isn't on the team sheet ahead of Harrison and it wouldn't be a good look if he has re-signed for the Whites as a squad player.
