The Tottenham Hotspur ace could be set for an exit from the club this summer.
According to a report from Spanish media outlet AS, Tottenham are now willing to sell Christian Eriksen to Atletico Madrid for as little as €60 million (£54 million) this summer.
The 27-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract with Spurs, so Daniel Levy might just be keen to move him on this year, rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.
Eriksen has been a superb performer for Tottenham since moving to north London for just £11.5 million from Ajax in the summer of 2013, racking up an impressive 66 goals and 86 assists in 277 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Spanish publication AS now claims that his time with Spurs could be cut short, however.
They suggest that Tottenham could sell the Denmark international to Atleti for as little as £54 million.
The Daily Mail reported yesterday, however, that Eriksen could be offered a new £200,000 per week deal by Spurs.
So, as things stand, the 27-year-old's future remains very much up in the air.
If Tottenham are offered around £54 million for a player entering the final year of his contract, however, it might just be in their best interest to move him on this summer.
