Rangers substitutes: Firth, Helander, Murphy, Halliday, Aribo, Kamara, Morelos, Docherty, Stewart, Polster.

Rangers continue their pre-season preparations this afternoon with a visit from Blackburn Rovers, just days after hammering St Joseph’s in the Europa League qualifiers.

The Gers are just a couple of weeks away from the start of their league season, and will subsequently look to get everyone involved and up to speed.

Allan McGregor starts in goal today, coming back in for Wes Foderingham, whilst James Tavernier, George Edmundson, Nikola Katic and Borna Barisic have all been named in the back four.

Ryan Jack and Steven Davis start in midfield, and are joined by the returning Scott Arfield, who plays his first pre-season game having been on international with Canada at the Gold Cup.

Sheyi Ojo and Jordan Jones start out wide, and will flank lone striker Jermain Defoe, who has been given the nod ahead of Alfredo Morelos in the Rangers attack.

New signing Filip Helander could make his debut having been named on the bench, alongside Morelos, Andy Firth, Jamie Murphy, Andy Halliday, Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara, Greg Docherty, Greg Stewart and Matt Polster.
