The Roma hitman would be a useful addition for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham clearly need to sign a new striker this summer.
Fernando Llorente’s contract has expired, and Vincent Janssen is closing in on an exit from the club, according to Football.London.
Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in world football, but he needs more competition, or at least an able deputy to fill in for him when he’s either injured or suspended.
And with that in mind AS Roma hitman Patrik Schick would be absolutely perfect for Tottenham.
At 23, the Czech Republic international is at the perfect age to joins Spurs.
He could serve as Kane’s back-up for the next couple of years, whilst honing his skills under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino.
He will also be incredibly hungry to prove himself.
Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Schick is incredibly strong in the air, and he would give Tottenham an entirely different option in the final third. He seems to be ideally built for playing in the Premier League.
The Roma ace possesses exceptional ability with the ball at his feet, in spite of his size. His ability to link up play between midfield and attack would help Spurs improve of the fluidity of their play when they attack.
Having highlighted all of those positive parts of Schick’s game, there will be one red flag for Tottenham – his less than impressive goalscoring record.
He has bagged just 30 goals in 131 games. Only 55 of those outings have been starts, however.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Czech ace could be available for just £27 million this summer, and that would represent excellent value for money for Spurs.
