Norwich fans react on Twitter to Patrick Roberts display against Schalke

Moussa Dembele of Celtic celebrate at the final Whistle with team mate Patrick Roberts during the Scottish Premiership match between Rangers FC and Celtic FC at Ibrox Stadium on December...

The Canaries have brought the talented Manchester City ace to Carrow Road on loan.

A number of Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Patrick Roberts' performance in the Canaries' 2-1 win over Schalke 04.

The Manchester City loanee provided the assist for Teemu Pukki's opener, a through ball which the Finland ace neatly converted early on in the game.

Although Rabbi Matondo replied for Schalke just after half time, Roberts' neat footwork enabled Todd Cantwell to pick up the ball, only to fire just wide.

Eventually, Norwich regained the lead as Moritz Leitner’s strike took a huge deflection to sail past Markus Schubert and Daniel Farke's side hung on for a solid win.

Roberts was a constant thorn in the opposition's side as he regularly marauded forward and his deft assist is testament to his class and hopefully a sign of things to come in 2019-20.

Here is what some of the Carrow Road faithful said on social media about Roberts:

Roberts, who signed a new Man City contract ahead of temporarily switching to Norwich, has enjoyed fruitful loan spells at Scottish championship Celtic, while also spending time in Spain's La Liga with Girona.
