Tottenham Hotspur fans have hit back at Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, after his recent press conference, which was broadcast on Sky Sports News.

Klopp was talking about Liverpool’s Premier League rivals, and left Tottenham off the list.

Klopp mentioned every other member of last season’s top six and even Everton as he talked up the competitiveness of the Premier League.

However, he failed to mention Tottenham and that has not gone down well with the White Hart Lane crowd.

Klopp said: “You see what United are doing in the transfer market, Arsenal will strengthen, Chelsea have a situation but they will bring all the young boys back and be strong again, City of course and Everton, probably nobody wants to hear that but they strengthen their squad year and year out.”

Tottenham fans have now suggested that Klopp should not be writing them off, as they feel they could trouble Liverpool.

Spurs were beaten by Liverpool every time the two sides played last season.

Klopp’s side met Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the final game of last term, when Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-0 in the Champions League final.

Spurs have added to their squad this summer, with Tanguy Ndombele’s arrival particularly exciting.
