Some Rotherham United fans fear Semi Ajayi will leave the New York Stadium this summer amid reports linking the versatile defender with West Bromwich Albion.
According to the Yorkshire Post, West Brom are one of the clubs believed to be interested in Ajayi, after the Rotherham manager, Paul Warne, confirmed that two offers, from separate Championship clubs, were rejected this week.
Somewhat curiously, the former Arsenal was the only Millers player not to feature in Wednesday night's friendly win against Bradford Park Avenue, despite being named in Warne's squad.
And concerns are growing among some of the Rotherham supporters.

Ajayi didn't feature in tonight's friendly, even though he was named as a sub. Could mean that he's #wba bound— ❤⚽️ (@Warniola_rufc) July 17, 2019
its defo west brom, didnt come on today, hes off lads, we need tilt. #rufc— Owen Connell (@Owen__Connell) July 17, 2019
Hope he does stay but can't see it. Hope there's a bidding war though— Josh Yeardley (@josh_yeardley) July 17, 2019
It's a tough one this. He's a big player to lose but would we rather get nothing for him next summer or cash in now and spend money on 2/3 new players. Selling him now may be better for us in the long run— Jamie Elliott (@rufcjammer) July 18, 2019
Whoever Ajayi signs for or whatever price he goes for do not forget the 25% sell on clause #rufc— Tommo (@TommoTommazzi) July 17, 2019
Think we'd accept between 3.5m-5m. Excellent profit considering we spent like 50k-100k on him— Josh Yeardley (@josh_yeardley) July 17, 2019
Buzzing for the #rufc meltdown when we sell Ajayi for £2m and bring in another loanee— Adam Hardcastle (@AdamHardcastle2) July 18, 2019
There is no indication as yet as which of West Brom's divisional rivals the other offer arrived from.
However, Barnsley received the same response after bidding for Ajayi earlier in the summer transfer window, according to the Yorkshire Post.
The newspaper also claims that speculation linking the former Arsenal trainee with a move to Leeds United are 'wide of the mark'.
