Tottenham Hotspur are said to be considering selling Josh Onomah, who is a big fan of Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce.

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur have made Josh Onomah available for £10 milllion, and that may just appeal to new Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce.

Bruce has worked with Onomah twice during his career so far, and another reunion at Newcastle may just appeal, now the playmaker is seemingly available.

Tottenham have left Onomah off their pre-season tour squad, and have given him an indication he is free to seek a new club.

It does not seem that the 22-year-old will make it at White Hart Lane, but that should not put Newcastle off.

Onomah still has a great deal of potential, and Bruce could be the man to get the best out of the England youth international.

Bruce worked with Onomah at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday and is a big fan of the Spurs youngster.

Onomah is also a massive admirer of Bruce, so a move to Newcastle could appeal to him.

“Steve Bruce is an amazing guy, on and off the pitch he always made sure that I was feeling good,” Onomah told The Express & Star. “I learned a lot from him.

“He has a lot of experience. he won a lot of promotions. I’m sure he knows what he is doing and he will come back from this.”

If Onomah was to move to Newcastle he would be just the type of signing they appear to be looking for.

Onomah’s value could sky rocket if Bruce brought the best out of him, and he would cover in a position where Newcastle look short.

The Magpies clearly need an addition in central midfield, and Onomah would add depth for them in that area, as well as creativity.

And it would not be at all surprising if Onomah did become one of Bruce’s first signings at Newcastle.
